  1. Strict silence should be maintained in the library.
  2. Use of cell phone is banned in the library.
  3. Users must scan their Identity Card in the User Entry System on entering and exit of the library.
  4. Users are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance of the Library. However they are advised not to leave valuables things in their belongings. (except one note book for taking notes from information sources)
  5. Casual wears are strictly prohibited inside the library.
  6. Users are strictly prohibited to come along with borrowed library books and own books inside the library.
  7. OPAC system gives the availability details of library sources; users can reserve the library documents, view their dues.
  8. Users should avoid browsing Social Medias, downloading software, online shopping and using pen drives.
  9. Misuse of net is punishable. After usage, the users should shutdown the systems properly.
  10. Users kindly place the library sources (Books, Journals, and Magazines etc) at the same place after perusal for proper maintenance.
  11. Books will not be issued to members on the ID card of others.
  12. Staff members and Students should take care of the reading materials without causing damage of any sort like folding or underlining with pencil or pen.
  13. The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his / her Identity Card.
  14. Students should check the books for damages before borrowing and leaving the library. If any damages are notified at the time of returning the books, the current price of book will be imposed. If any book lost, the user shall replace with new book and handling charges or pay triple the amount of current price with dues.
  15. UG and PG Students can avail 5 books and 6 books respectively and staff can avail 10 books for home reading at a time.
  16. Students should return the books on or before the due date which will normally allow them to keep for 15 days and can renewal twice. Staff can retain the books throughout the semester.
  17. If the due date falls on a holiday for the Library, the next working day will be taken as the due date.
  18. Alumni will not be allowed as an excuse for the delay in the return of books.
  19. No reminders will be issued to individuals but consolidated list of due members will be displayed in the library notice board and to be sent to respective departments at the beginning of every month.
  20. Under special circumstances, the Librarian may refuse the issue of books or recall the books already issued from any member without assigning any reason thereof.
  21. Newspapers, Magazines, Journals and Reference sources like dictionaries, projects, encyclopedias, question bank etc should not be taken out. Xerox machine avail for taking copies from above said sources. Overnight issue is available for selected reference books.
Any changes in the rules or instructions or information to members will be notified on the Library Notice Board as and when required.
